What is the thermal resistance and the main types and parameters?

Thermistor(thermistor) -- type MZ, MF:

Nonlinear resistor is a temperature sensitive resistance reaction, will change with temperature, usually made of single crystal, polycrystalline semiconductor material.
                       
   Character: "RT" or "R"

Type thermistor:

A. according to the structure and shape classification -- disc (sheet), cylindrical shape (cylindrical), circle shape (washer) and other thermistor.

Sensitivity classification of B. according to temperature change -- high sensitivity type (mutant), low sensitivity type (delayed) thermistor.

C. according to the heating mode classification -- direct heated type thermistor, indirectly heated thermistor.

D. according to the temperature change (temperature) classification -- a positive temperature coefficient (PTC), negative and positive temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistor.

The main parameters of thermistor:In addition to the nominal resistance, rated power and the allowable deviation and other basic indicators, and the indicator:
1) measurement of power: refers to the specified ambient temperature by measuring power, power resistor heating due to resistance changes in the consumption of less than 0.1%.
2) the material constants: response thermistor thermal sensitivity index. Usually, the larger the value, the sensitivity and the higher resistivity thermistor.
3) the resistance temperature coefficient thermistor: said on the zero power condition, the temperature of 1 ℃ every change caused by the relative change of resistance value.
4) the thermal time constant: the thermal inertia thermistors. In the non power state, when the environmental temperature changes, the resistor body temperature changes from the initial to final temperature difference in the time required for 63.2%.
5) dissipation factor: refers to each increase of thermistor temperature 1 ℃ power dissipation.
6) switch temperature: zero power resistance thermosensitive resistor value is the lowest resistance value corresponding to two times when the temperature.
7) the highest working temperature: refers to the thermistor in the standard of the prescribed conditions, the highest temperature under long-term continuous work permit.
8): refers to the nominal voltage regulator with thermistor at the required temperature, and voltage corresponding to the nominal operating current value.
9): refers to the provisions of the working current regulator with thermistor in normal working condition in the current value.
10) voltage range: refers to the range of stable voltage in the environment within a predetermined temperature regulator with thermistor value.
11): refers to the maximum voltage in a specified ambient temperature, thermal resistor work correctly when the permissible maximum voltage applied value.
12) insulation resistance: refers to the prescribed conditions, the resistance between the resistor and the insulating casing thermal resistor values.

The positive temperature coefficient thermistor (PTC positive temperature coefficient thermistor)

-- with barium titanate structure (BaTiO3), strontium (Sr), zirconium (Zr) and other materials.
Is a direct heated type thermistor.
Characteristics -- resistance value is proportional to the temperature change, i.e. when the temperature increases the resistance value increases. At room temperature, its resistance value is small, only a few tens of ohms ohms to; when flowing through it when the current exceeds a rated value, the resistance value can rapidly increased to hundreds of ohms to within a few seconds over thousands of ohms.
The role and Application -- widely used in color TV degaussing circuit, refrigerator compressor starting circuit and overheat or over current protection circuit, but also can be used for electric mosquito repellent and curlers, electric heating pad, heater and other small household electrical appliances.

The negative temperature coefficient thermistor (NTC negative temperature coefficient thermistor)

-- Manganese structure (Mn), cobalt (Co), nickel (Ni), copper (Cu), aluminum (Al) metal oxide (has semiconductor properties) or silicon carbide (SiC) material with ceramic process.
Characteristics -- resistance value is inversely proportional to temperature changes, i.e. when the temperature increases, the resistance values decrease.
The role and Application -- widely used in refrigerators, air-conditioners, microwave oven, electric oven, copiers, printers and other household appliances and office products, the temperature detection, temperature compensation, temperature control, microwave power measurement and control system for.
